Writing Penang early history
View of Georgetown and Fort Cornwallis, Penang. 1846. Watercolour painting by Charles Andrew Dyce, 354 x 514mm. Credits: Irene Lim, Sketches in the Straits, NUS 2003.
In 2015 I decided to put on permanent record i.e. on the world wide web a historical piece I did while studying history at the Universiti Sains Malaysia at Penang in the early 1970's. I self-published the writing in the form of a blog called " The First 100 years of Penang Free School" in August 2015.
